For us this evening, real gourmet stuff. With ketchup and tartar sauce.
Followed by a sticky toffee pud which has been languishing in the freezer for longer than I care to think about.
We’re eating (and drinking) stuff up at the mo for various reasons so will probably have a few G&Ts too, just to get rid of the bottles you understand.
Love fish fingers (have to make sure they're cod or haddock) I'd not experienced the joy of a ff sandwich until my son came back from uni. White sliced bread tom sauce and a drizzle of tartare sauce.Yum yum
Alba, a fish finger butty is winging its way to you in a couple of hours.
Afternoon tea was lovely, and I honestly did think of you while gentilely sipping my champers. Isn’t it funny that we think of those we’ve never met at certain times?
Sounds lush! I bought an air fryer alone on the premise that I can do fish fingers in one, I reasoned it’d be quicker and cheaper than the oven?
I’ll find out on Monday when it arrives!
Talking fish fingers, it's always puzzled me why chippies don't do fish fingers and chips especially for kids who don't need a massive amount. In fact, with the big increases and costs on chip shops it could well be an alternative to keep some prices down.
I know they have increased also, that's pretty obvious along with everything else Sharon. But chip shops have the contacts for cheaper fish products, and the ability to make their own in house. The last time I looked in a fish shop the cod was something around £6 /£7 that's before they pile a ton of chips on top. Even some adults don't need that amount.
Sounds lovely, I was introduced to ff sandwiches in about 1985. Didn't believe people ate them, then I tried them. I told all my family and friends to try them, so did, others didn't and they became staples in a few households. I hope you are having real chips Vagus, and did you enjoy your afternoon tea?
