For us this evening, real gourmet stuff. With ketchup and tartar sauce.
Followed by a sticky toffee pud which has been languishing in the freezer for longer than I care to think about.
We’re eating (and drinking) stuff up at the mo for various reasons so will probably have a few G&Ts too, just to get rid of the bottles you understand.

I’m not sure that’s an adjective i’d use smow...
Was glad to read on different thread that you enjoyed the afternoon tea.

If you feel that you have excess, I could be available to assist :-))
Love fish fingers (have to make sure they're cod or haddock) I'd not experienced the joy of a ff sandwich until my son came back from uni. White sliced bread tom sauce and a drizzle of tartare sauce.Yum yum
Cottage pie for us no booze though as we are having a dry October

Alba, a fish finger butty is winging its way to you in a couple of hours.
Afternoon tea was lovely, and I honestly did think of you while gentilely sipping my champers. Isn’t it funny that we think of those we’ve never met at certain times?

Redhelen, like is too short to be dry!!
Vagus, I love fish finger sarnies with tartare sauce.

Blimey sharon, that’s a bit posh!
Because we basically spent September drinking!! For joy and sorrow so trout we would have a dry month
Thought not trout lol
Sounds lush! I bought an air fryer alone on the premise that I can do fish fingers in one, I reasoned it’d be quicker and cheaper than the oven?
I’ll find out on Monday when it arrives!
Salivating here Vagus - I have white loaf and ff in the freezer- tea for tomorrow sorted :-)
Talking fish fingers, it's always puzzled me why chippies don't do fish fingers and chips especially for kids who don't need a massive amount. In fact, with the big increases and costs on chip shops it could well be an alternative to keep some prices down.
Pimply, have you seen the price of fish fingers???
Vagus, ravioli from Aldi!!!
I know they have increased also, that's pretty obvious along with everything else Sharon. But chip shops have the contacts for cheaper fish products, and the ability to make their own in house. The last time I looked in a fish shop the cod was something around £6 /£7 that's before they pile a ton of chips on top. Even some adults don't need that amount.
Sounds lovely, I was introduced to ff sandwiches in about 1985. Didn't believe people ate them, then I tried them. I told all my family and friends to try them, so did, others didn't and they became staples in a few households. I hope you are having real chips Vagus, and did you enjoy your afternoon tea?
I'm a big fan of FF sarnies - or, even better, For Funks Sake in pitta bread with coleslaw and sweet chilli sauce - proper fusion food :-)
oh dear the plural of FF seems to have activated the naughtywordfilter - I did mean Fish Fingers ...
