does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Morning....(laughs at woofy's comment)
Yes tis filthy here too but very best wishes to Jno jnr and both families.

I sometimes have a pair of crows, they're like a married couple, one sits in the tree tutting while the other one shops.
Nevermore!! The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
Oh deep hiy and happy day! Just received my renewed driving licence for another 5 years which means I passed 100% otherwise it would have been for 1, 2 or 3 years! Depending on tests! I dont actually drive anywhere now!

well done Neti! Wishing you and yours a happy day Jno. We get corvidae here too but no idea which ones.
I hope you all had a lovely day Jno in spite of the weather.Congratulations to the happy couple. When we got married it was snowing.
Congrats to you too Neti ,well done.
Doesn't seem as bad a storm as the last one but rain and wind nevertheless although it did brighten up a bit during the afternoon, still blowing a gale out there now.
Picky and Millie have been here today for dinner as they've been in York for a short break visiting the railway museum, the minster etc.
They bought me a silver brooch which is very nice.
I have a jackdaw who comes round most days and try as I might I cannot get a picture of him. They're very shy birds. He's very comical and flits from the feeders onto my neighbours roof and then walks up the tiles and perches near the chimney. He's like a little old man tottering up there with his head going from side to side.
Hope you're all ok .Night all.

well dione, neti. Can you take it to Valencia with you or is it just an Ibiza thing?

Cold out there but the wedding went well. They played All You Need is Love as the bride walked in. I asked Jno Jnr whose idea it was to play Won't Get Fooled Again just before that, but he couldn't remember.

He didn't have a best man, but one of the three bridesmaids was male. Not trans or anything, just the job spec seems to have been reconfigured for the modern age. He was a friend of the bride rather than the groom, which may explain it.
Congratulations jno jnr and mrs.
My driving licence is for Europe jno so I can (wont) drive anywhere!! I dont much like the photo on it though!
Sort of a othing day here. I have a cba mood on so wont be going out for lunch
We have to go and collect a delicious chicken and chips at 2pm.
We get sparrows
And the occasional robin. I do not encourage them as my feral cat is swift and deadly!
Its Balearic Day here, means nothing!
Brŕr excessively windy today ( the weather not me) and temps have stopped right down again. Am I moaning ? No way!!
Had hair cut in Chinese hairdressers as I thought I'll show that I trust them and it was empty and once I was seated they all put on masks!! I was quite afronted!
Have newly weds gone on honeymoon jno?
no, they are such busy bees they've postponed it till they both have time for it and it's sunnier and there aren't any viruses about. I don't know if they have a minimoon planned before that.

seriously???? Won't get fooled again? that's hilarious. I like the idea of mixed gender bridal attendants too. We have got frost on the roofs here.
I am now getting paranoid. I am old! I've now bought 96% alcohol and have cleaned every jar, remote, switch, Taps, knobs . Anything I can get my hands on! No sanitizer available on this island so after watching GMB it said alcohol is excellent! Have even.left a bowl of soapy water outside front door for hubby to wash his hands before he enters the house!!! Over reacting? Probably!
yes, seriously. I didn't want to probe any further.

I am told by a youngish person (not one at the wedding) that male bridesmaids and the like are quite common. I suppose there may be female Best Men around too.
In Spain the groom's mother is always the best man and stands with him
it happens in pantomime here, I suppose, where the lead boy is a girl and the dame is a man. The world is upside down!
Here in Ibiza jno it is normal! Men are women and vice versa. I am one of the odd ones being "normal"
Off to mexico for blood results!
Bloods better if ot perfect. No chips, sweets or red meats! I should coco!! I also ha e a small broken bone in foot. I vaguely remember ope j g the freezer door o tonit then a huge blue bruise spread across the foot and then a stinging pain, she says it's a bit late to do anything and to strap it f it hurts.offered an cray bit I said what's the point it's getting better. It s yet another new Mexico (!) But says she is my permanent one this time!!
It's a pity she cant heal my typing.
Afternoon all...dull and chilly after a bright morning. I even had half an hour in the garden this morning in a bid to liven myself up. It worked for a while but after I'd come in and sat down I went so cold it took me about an hour and a half to warm up. I really can't shake feeling grotty two days out of every three but I think it's the 'algia, it's got dozens of symptoms.

I'm pleased it all went well at the wedding jno. I'm trying to imagine the mini Tarquins reactions if I told them they were going to be bridesmaids, haha. They won't even eat or drink out of anything pink. :)

I'm not paranoid about this virus but I'd say I've got a reasonable concern. I'm having trouble reasoning with a couple of people who aren't remotely bothered though so I've stopped talking about it.
Don't worry neti, just pop this on your head when you go out

I think reasonable concern is reasonable especially if you already have an algia or two or an itis. My sis who doesn't have algias or itises touch wood has cancelled her dental and GP check ups and I think that is sensible. I am homebound at the moment because Shughy is frail but I must confess when I had to have a plumber in the house on two occasions recently I did a good old disinfect when he had left. I am already a mad handwasher from my NHS days.
true, older ABers are falling silent (aog, Sqad, DannyK?), possibly realising the risk of contamination when you post here. Sanitise your hands after typing.
