does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Hija has flown thr nest literally as in type. House all clean and washed and all household rubbish taken illegally to tip by 6.55am.
Are passports up and running again as I need a new one but was told only emergency ones which mine will be soon! Very overcast so all washing wont get hung out!

Morning all, miz and drizzly here. I'd love some sunshine. I nipped out to buy bread and men were queueing outside the barbers. Those who'd been shorn were standing around looking smug and puffing their chests out. :) My hairdresser's coming in two weeks, fingers crossed, nothing's a certainty at the moment is it?

I whittled down the Monsoon list from 3 dresses, 3 skirts and 3 tops to 2 dresses and 2 skirts fully expecting that maybe one item would be ok. Oh dear, bad news, they're all lovely. :) What does a woman do? There was 60% off all of them...there's always next year...I've felt rough this week, I need a boost....

I have get my hair cut again this week it grows so fast but I'm m lucky I guess so cant moan.
A very quiet day here without hija.
My poor sis has shingles in her jaw and her chin is covered in sores. She had a toothache orno she thought and went to an emergency dentist who arranged for her to go straight to hospital. She was in agony. Luckily our niece in law is a lovely girl and collected her and took her back home where she is hopefully relaxing. She is always rushing around so it is time she looked after herself. She feels really bad.

Hello. Sis had already had the shingles immunity jab but she cant remember when! I didnt know there was one!
Very hot day but nit unexpected! We just went for a drive around IbiA city and surrounding areas as we were bored. Lots of traffic now but not many tourists. Llerida and La marina on mainland have been out back into lockdown. We have 16 new cases all put down to an illegal rave in san Juan! Cant blame this on the tourists! One lad tested positive but flew from Barcelona to ibize to attend a party but he was tested and caught at airport and put straight into hospital ! I had a slight sore throat this afternoon and took a paracetamol but feel ok now.
How everyone is ok!!

had Mr and Mrs jno jnr round yesterday for some chips and dips (I ate all those) and mineral water; lovely sunny day, the wind was howling through the trees but we have a sheltered nook. But there was something clattering very loudly round in the wind and it drove jno jnr crazy. Not on our property so he searched next door's (they're away trapped somewhere) and couldn't find anything, just the noise to taunt him.

Shingles jab this morning, that should see me out.

Well good luck with that jno I dodnt k ow those jabs existed. Thi k I'll have one. Poor sister sent me a photo. Her poor face is covered with scabs and sores down one side. She looks absolutely dreadful. The hospital today didnt say it was shingles (although shes had the jab!)and one doctor thought it looked like it was getting better. She can eat with one side of her mouth. Poor thing. I dread getting that! I nipped out for a hair cut. Cheap and cheerful!
Mr N is back in Hija's room as he dislikes aircon and I have it on for a while. I love it as I sprawl diagonally across the bed which I cannot do with my Marido by my side. Its hot here. I dont do much at all!!

I think they've only started pushing shingles jabs fairly recently - when we were last in the Stetes 7 or 8 years ago theere were ads in all the supermarkets offering them but I've only noticed them here for the last couple of years. They're free when you're 70-73 and a couple of later ages.

I had shingles once but all it was was an itchy eye. But apparently having it doesn't make you immune.
