i love home prepared and cooked rice pudding... sadly, its almost a thing of the past.. used to love getting the skin off the top in my portion....


am i alone on this one ?

My nan always made it and I would always get the skin mmmmmmmm can just taste it now.

Fresh and still warm? day old? or older, in wedges - be specific here.....on the other hand.........


Next thing you'll tell us you like tripe. Brown tripe, at that........I'll stop there, I can see a trend about to start.


Proper rice pudding, with double cream, gently baked at the bottom of the oven and all thick and comforting, that part is delicious yes, but no, not the skin.....

I still make rice pudding funkymoped! one of my favourites, just below bread and butter pudding.I like mine nice and creamy with a good skin on the top. there were 3 of us as kids and we used to fight over who had the most skin! Mmmm, could just eat some now, you've set me off!
I make it quite often especially when I have an excess of milk. I made one yesterday and put some whole cardamoms in it....lovely, I had this in an Indian restaurant. I always give the skin to my hubby!
