sauce like tomato or brown sauce you can have added to your chips ,
In Scotland you can get salt and vinegar or sauce, but since Rebus is in Edinburgh it is brown chip shop sauce. If he was through in the west he would possibly get red or chip shop ketchup type sauce. Cheers Hard@it
in Edinburgh they ask for salt n sauce(its disgusting!!-its like brown sauce mixed with vinegar!!!) If he was in the West it would be salt n vinegar
wonderwoman - it IS brown sauce mixed with vinegar! And it's the only way to eat chippie shop chips. I'm an East coaster right enough :)
Yugh! West Coast salt n vinegar rules!
yay!!!!!
"Sot 'n Soss" - say it like it is.......

Brown sauce thinned with vinegar. And the brown sauce is actually an apple based condiment with caramel and vinegar and a little seasoning.
I thought it was that stuff they call "non-brewed condiment" that's like industrial-strength acetic acid. Or is that only in Glasgow - where they're likely to ruin your poor tattie scone with this chemical blast of eye-wateringness.
