Is it true that eating too many hot chillis gives you stomach ulcers? Should i cut down on the amount i'm eating??

Apparently so. You shouldn't cut down unless you are suffering symptoms of stomach ulcers, in which case obviously you should.
I have been eating very hot chillis for years - habaneros, scotch bonnets, etc. All my curries are phall hot. Touch wood I have never had any stomach problems (lower down gets interesting though !).

I always thought that stomach ulcers had been tracked down to bacterial infection anyway, and are virtually a thing of the past.
Don't die with shock here, but I agree with whiffey on this one...Never had any stomach probs - eat em' hotter than they do in Thailand!! Lol...
