What's a Turkey crown , please ?
lay rashers of bacon across the crown, cook on next to bottom shelf on gas 5, or 180 degrees electric for 20 mins per pound, plus 20 mins
W have crown or butterfly (just breast no bones) for previous Christms dinners. it cooks well, dont overcook it though.

Turkey crown - A whole bird with the legs removed.

i did one last year. i cant remember the times/heat but i made a tent out of foil to cook it in - this meant it was nice and moist
Buy mine from M&S every year and just read the instructions. Always works.
Go and get one from Sainsburys ~ they have a little pop up timer stuck in them. Just follow the instructions (same as mrsprite's) and hey presto its done.
Also (sorry alan30, I know I'm just being pedantic) I think you'll find that a turkey crown has the wings, legs and under body removed ~ hence the term crown as its the top of the bird (e.g. the breast and rib section)
