Guiness is terrible?

I had a Guiness for the first time in about 5 years today... and i must say it was horrible, i couldnt wait to get back onto a pint of lager afterwards. It was like drinking cold coffee, why is it so many people rave about it? Even 5 years ago i didnt like it but still drank it for sake of drink! anyone feel the same?

The best thing to do with it, it add it to steak as a pie filling IMHO.

I had a Fray Bentos Steak and Ale pie last year, I couldnt finish it, it was horrible? Maybe its just that I dont liek real ale? I hate the fact its called that because all the older men drink it, and say that lager nowadays is horrible and watered down, but i think most of the bitters and ales are disgusting!

ON THE SIDE OF GUINESS. I've recently started to drink it as someone mentioned it's got iron in it and I'm slightly anaemic. I actually like it.

Try Murphy's or Beamish, very similar but both taste better!

Guinness is an aquired taste, you can either take it or leave it. Try it mixed with cider, a poor mans Black Velvet (Guinness and Champagne) Cheers XXX

Guinness is lovely, only problem with it is it comes out the same colour and texture it goes in
