While we're at it, Whats your fav sandwich filling?
Are you like me just plain old Egg & Tomato on white bread or are you into some of these exotic fillings on all different sorts of breads which you pay a fortune for in one of these modern sandwich shops?

Whats yours sir/madam?

loads my fave is probably marmite or marmite and peanut butter but i love good ham pref smoked with emmental and salad. or brie and bacon or prawn and avocado, and egg mayo, pate, steak and onion. chicken salad

i like sarnies - as long as they're not soggy!
a hot brie and bacon baguette
or maybe a fried egg and bacon sarnie on white bread :)
i really want brie and bacon for dinner now!
Jelly and mushrooms...
Bacon!

Although I like cheese and tomato as well... I'm pretty boring when it comes to sarnies and the exotic ones scare me... ;0)
O I thought that as well mcfluff -I havent had one but man I so want one now !!

I suppose good old cheese and red onion wins out most of the time.

Thanks for the answers folks, and for some idea's too.
I've never had wraps, I keep saying I must try them.
My daughter and her family have 'em all the time.

banana and blue cheese sarnies are ok once in a while
cheese and tomato puree
Egg with just the right amount of salad cream with either sliced tomato, or sliced cucumber and cress.
Love cheese salad sandwiches, or even cheese and coleslaw sandwiches.
Tinned salmon or tinned sardine with cucumber is also nice.
Have just discovered a new one, but it's done in a nice ciabatta roll .... grilled portabella mushroom with a slice of beef tomato, a slice of Halloumi cheese and a tiny bit of pickle.
Oh sorry, forgot a couple of fillings:
Cheese and either piccallili or cheese and branston.
Or a piece of breaded fish (cooked of course), with tartare sauce on one slice of bread and tomato ketchup on the other.
chox.

Mmmmm! some lovely ones there chox,
I don't mind corned beef with piccallili, and prawn with 1000 Island dressing, I'm beginning to feel peckish I'm going to see if I've got a pkt of ch & onion crisps & put them in a sandwich & crush 'em. yep, I fancy that.

Crisps in sarnies is always good!
Normally have a cheese, ham and cucumber sandwich with salad cream or mayo and put skips in it. Only problem with skips though is they go all soggy very quickly so need to eat up pretty fast!
strawberry jam and strong cheddar it's amazing
