How Do You Choose Your Lottery Numbers?

Hey guys, I'm doing a quick survey and would like to know how do you actually choose your lottery numbers, I'm particularity interested in EuroMillions lotto, but at this point of time any lottery will do just fine.

I let the fickle finger of fate, in the form of a 'lucky dip' pick them for me. No luck yet, I'm sorry to say.

I only do the Euro and have the same 4 lines - three made up from birthdays, lucky numbers or numbers I fancied at the time plus one lucky dip. I have won many many times but never more than a tenner.

I stopped doing the ordinary lottery a long while ago. When the prize for the euro lottery gets to astronomical levels I invest in a couple of tickets.

The rare occasion I play I do lucky dip but I did hear someone say you shouldn't (if you're greedy) because they could be issuing the same lucky dip numbers to countless people so if your numbers come up you'll have to share the jackpot with more people.

did 3 lines each week made up of birthday, special date etc, as of this week will do only one line of birthdays. Only do lucky dip on Euro once in a blue moon. Never won enough to retire on, wait a minute, I am retired.

You should not pick numbers that make a pattern such as a line in the selection grid. a draw in 1995 produced number which did just that, and there were 133 Jackpot winners.

When I picked my numbers which I use every draw, I followed that rule. Unfortunately, about 10 years ago they changed the layout of the grid, and on the new grid my numbers line up. But I daren't change them now.

Birthdays are not recommended because you are ignoring a quarter of the available numbers, the ones above 31.
