Help!! I am not expert at games but someone has given me a Nintendo DS and I have been enjoying myself with 'Narnia'. I have completed all the quests (apart from the new dwarf cave, which I have found out you can only do after rescuing Edmund)) but am now totally stumped as to how to go about rescuing Edmund. I have been running around Narnia for two evenings in desparation!!

Can anyone out there please give me a pointer in the right direction. I am sure someone aged 7 would laugh at my plight, but age is not on my side.

Well earlier this year I was a 44D but luckily I lost some of it. They are uncomfortable and do get in the way, and in the heat they get dreadfully sore. I didn't look pregnat from the back either (everyone said it'll be a boy) but I wasn't that big at all, could bend down and touch my toes right through to the end (and not bending knees). I was a big at 5months as I was at 9....

very few people have earned the right to poppies, except perhaps the valiant Mr Veritas. (I suppose there may be one or two war veterans on here, and there are some who served more recently than WW2.) They just to it to remember the dead, though I find I can do that reasonably well without the floral accompaniment and the increasingly strident demands that everyone should wear one and the site should close down for two minutes etc.
Morning all.

Swedie, the link was a cartoon of two people carrying a house to another place, don't ask me for urls and tinypic etc, I'm stumped.

jno, I like the idea that the poppy money goes to help the war veterans and victims, and for that reason I wear one, of course I could just donate, I had a 16yr old uncle who was mowned down in the sea by the Germans after they had wrecked his ship. I find that terribly sad that he never had a life and the short one he did, he gave to his country. I wish I was in England for the 2 mins silence as I love all that and get very emotional, but of course these days people are too busy and respect has gone. Obviously it is doen to the individual as to whether they wear a poppy and fall silent, and it doesn't really matter either way I just like it.

Very sunny at the moment so have closed the shutters again (damned sunshine!).
...and I don't think we should hold ill feeling towards our one time enemies. My poppy is for all the dead of all the countries in all the wars!
Morning all. I agree with you Neti. I wear my poppy because it is a sign of gratitude to the veterens that I'm grateful for the chance to live my life in a freedom that we would never have had. I'm sure that other countries have there own ways of doing the same. Ours just happens to be the Poppy. I also respect your views Jno. That's what we have now freedom of choice as well.

It's a Windy and Wet and I went to the Paper Shop in my car. Shame on me!!
Look at the time, and I'm still in bed (9.44!!) it's this computer's fault. Well, I'd better shake a leg, catch you all laters !

Spain doesn't have a memorial day to it's fallen, but I think they use Nov 1st (Day of the Dead), when everyone goes up to the graves (which are niches in walls) and they put a burning red candle on the grave.
I don't wear poppies, I don't grow a moustache for Movember

(well, no more than usual) and in general I never tell people I've given to this or that charity. Just because I don't tell people doesn't mean I don't do it, though. (I had to cut down on my annual giving when I retired, so now I give less but to more charities, I try to be fair.)

Oh, so it's 11:11 today, time for us guardian angels to get busy

Good (?) morning chronic nanas..hang on to ya hairnets, it's wild & getting wilder. Good thing it's not too cold with it seeing as my boiler's on the blink, grrrr. It decided each time it ignited to do it with a loud bang, it was like November 5th + 4th of July in here last night. I'm assured by Rob-on-the-phone that 'Good news, there'll be someone out to you this morning'. hmmmm? All I wanted was a quiet day, did far too much yesterday & I could hardly move...winter, pah!
I think I'll have a word with her Maj on Facebook and see if I can stay with her for a few months.

The glittery roses are pretty woofy. I bought some candles that looked very similar but I couldn't bear to set light to them....and now they're faded and dull. Moral is use it while it sparkles... or lose it, haha.

Oh yes jno, I know all about 11.11 from Uri Geller. I have a thing about numbers & sequences, not OCD....yet...but I might have to wait until the time's on an even number to post :o)

Best wishes to poorly husbands for continued good progress. And a big raspberry to dragons behind desks...hope she's woken up with the mother of all moustaches today shaney. :o)
OOOeeerrr Jno.Here's a coincidence then to do with numbers.. Yesterday I went for lunch with my friend in town. Then after some shopping we went for a coffee at another place.. I put my hand over the number of the table in the coffee shop and said guess the coincidence and it was 22 the same as the one at the other place.
Pure coincidence of course.
I see a pile of white feathers on my lawn today. A conference of conscientious objectors? A gathering of guardian angels? A fox and a pigeon? It's hard to say.
well, it could just be 11+11, Jude, or it could be...

Hi all, just back from village. i did observe the 2 mins silence here, but daughter rushed me to sea front so I didn't look too daft standing in the middle of the street. She said, did she have to observe it, but as I wasn't talking, she had too. Nearby were a couple playing a harp and a guitar, and although it wasn't silent, it was somehow fitting.

I never tell people what charities I subscribe too, but I will admit to cancer and that has affected so many of my family.

Really lovely day, and so warm. Wind has dropped.

I put on a new bra and have pulled the scab from my back wound and it's hurting like billyo again. I thought it was all done and dusted!
Oh 22, one of my favourite nos, along with 6 and 15.
mmmmm, had a look at that site..... numerology, it's rubbish, haha. I'm a birthdate 3 & it says I'm disorganized and irresponsible, tut, how dare they. I couldn't be further from those.
I'm a sceptic when it comes to numerology and astrology etc. To me it's just rubbish!
My friend is very spiritual but I don't believe it but I respect her belief. If that's what helps her through her life then so be it.
Mind you I did have 2 beautiful pure white doves on my bird table this morning in the pouring rain. Spookyy!
well, Jude123...

Lovely day here - !!!!! It is raining in our hall. Hmmm Mr LL will be up on that roof no doubt at the weekend. I can't get him to slow down at all and I worry about it. He just doesn't take life easy - never will. I mustn't worry because nothing will change him. (But I do worry!!)

Watch came this morning and it is even nicer than I thought it would be. Very tasteful indeed and the gold isn't at all glitzy. Just a soft gold on a very soft dark silver. Mr LL is very impressed with my taste. It is now back in it's box until I open it on Christmas day!!

Thanks for helping me make my mind up.

I am actually going to climb back into my bed for an hour with a book 'cos I is very very cold. Have a doc's appointment tomorrow. My sinuses have have worse again and, without going into detail, I was horrified yesterday at what escaped from them!!

See you later.

(Oh I have just ordered two of these -

Nice and long!!
Poor lottie, and yes, keep yer kidneys warm, when it is cold I do like something tucked into my knickers at the back (and front!) I have to say knickers as panties are completely misleading!

Did you get enough watches for all of us? Sounds really nice and just up my street!!!
I posted this morning and it hasn't appeared. Took the dogs out in APPALLING weather so i was feeling damp round the edges and glowingly virtuous. Then went back to bed and we all kipped till 9.30 DH has to pee every three hours or so day and night atm as the non return valve between the kidney and the bladder is help open by the stent...means wee can run backwards and flood his kidney if he leaves it longer. I wee in the night anyhoo so its like clapham junction in the night here....you have to laugh...
Tore an officious idiot a new one this morning. DH got stuff on prescription and got it supplied in advance of the prescription..just the way the system works...anyway the prescription was written for the wrong thing so the firm who delivered can't get paid. They wrote so i phoned and agreed with the rep that it would get added to the next prescription. anyway this morning a "reminder" came in the post suggesting that there would be no further supplies until they had the outstanding prescription...that yanked my chain then the fool on the phone tried to say that it didn't matter because and I quote "the computer had sent the letter" I gave him my celebrated speech about computers only doing what people tell them to...then he said that they had had the same system for 20 years and he got as far as "and no one else has ever..." when i let him have two years of stress and worry in about 2 well chosen minutes worth of words. I am a bit sorry but not much :-)

Well done Woofy!! It's good to vent.

Neti. Knickers is what I wear too! (Actually, I wear the midi briefs that come in packs of 5 from M&S and I only ever get black or white) I am so boring!!
Well it's a pee boo crippy bum day here .Howling wind ,lashing down on and off .I've just rescued my sopping washing spun it again and draped it round the shack .
I had to go out in it as well with my vest tucked into me knickers .
If my Mother could see me wearing a vest she'd have forty fits :)

Numbers? I can''t even do a simple suduko .I'm still on the book I bought about two years ago :)

Oh good for you Woofy .I do detest jobsworths . I hope our prescription thingy doesn't get messed up .The stoma nurse came today and they send the prescription for supplies to a firm who deliver it all .All precut bags etc . So I hope they're efficient and nothing goes astray .

Oh well KBO and cauli cheese .
Take care all xxx
