I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

P>S> Ask your sis if there's room for a few more Robi it looks lovely.
Oh the Range......amazing place to shop. The dogs send me there because they sell double length rawhide chews and other yummy things. The lighting and other home decor stuff is a bargain, and the gardening, and the art and craft and and and.......
Found it Neti It says on it:-
Una bossa...moltes compres - I'll put it in my translator :)

Oight Oight everybody see you tomorrow!
"One bag - much shopping" in Catalan. doesn't really make sense when translated.
are you sure it isn't "one biddy (old bag) much shopping"?
oight oight all
Well Robi. That looks an amazing place to spend Christmas.

I am doing my very best to ignore the fact that Christmas isn't far away. Undoubtedly I will send a few cards and buy a few gifts for nearest and dearest. I am not kidding - it really is the most depressing time of the year for me and I really love it when the New Year is over and we get into January.

However, a stay in that lovely Cornwall house might make me feel different.

Oight, oight xxxxx

Think I had better climb the stairs to Bedfordshire .
I watched a lovely programme on BBC 4 tonight .From the Sea to the Land .It was lovely .No commentary just lovely background music .Lots of old film segued together .It was superb .
Oight Oight bag ladies xx
It's me who can't sleep tonight, dogs are curled up and snoring. Not sure why, I have had a busy and active day, just wide awake now.
I've been repainting furniture ready for sis and I to decorate. It's an old gate leg table and a little chest of drawers, both rather mankey and varnished dark brown, they are going to be pale aqua and decorated.......
Lottie I like Christmas, but we always have quiet homely ones, but I loathe new year and am glad when it's over.
A'noon all...it's a mizmog day here, dark and damp.

ok, ok, come on out and stop packing! hahaha, what are you all like? It's quite true, my sister did email to ask if I fancied spending xmas there but... rattles abacus ...I don't think it'll be this year. The funny thing is I asked her why she didn't pick this one and she said it was the very one which led her to that website in the first place. Ooo, spooky.

If I was going to spend xmas in a place like that I wouldn't be flagging it up on a public website...I don't want you lot rolling up...hehe, kidding. :) Anyway, never say never, stranger things have happened....hold on tight to your dreams and all that.
aw Robi....I really thought you'd be partying in splendour.
ah never mind you can have Christmas at mine

A bit late today!! Been shopping and it seems to have taken all day just to get provisions in. Mindyou my manservant comes with me these days, so I don't have to carry or pack and therefore don't need shopping bags. Just as well I suppose, I can only walk a very, very short distance before my back and feet give out.

Well, after what I said on here about Christmas, we have just received an invitation to spend Christmas day and night with the junior LL's and Meggie is also invited. I am wondering if it will be curry for Christmas Day, but whatever it is I shall enjoy having it cooked for me.

May pop back later if I don't fall asleep.

(And I was looking forward to gatecrashing in Cornwall!!!)
jno. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all meet in your house up there ^ for one of those ghost parties or mystery murder weekends. Shaney can be Miss Marple!!
oh hello Lottie...funnily enough I said to my sis that the Fort would be a good (but expensive) place for a murder mystery.

Miss Marple here ..
Actually I feel a bit like her today .In other words a doddery old dame :)
Many more shopping bags draped about my person and I'll probably look like her too !
What a grey day here ,damp and cold .All I've done is totter up the High Street where I bumped into an enormous chicken .No ,I hadn't been drinking it was someone dressed up outside the shops giving out leaflets for the Christmas Lights and tree doings which go up soon .
I'm disappointed about Christmas in Cornwall now Robinia .I had my Christmas jumper packed ready to go :)

Oh don't unpack your jumper shaney, you never know...and I'd pay to see you in that. :) Have you become a shopaholic?..haha, I once bumped into a Sonic the Hedgehog in town. I was halfway down the street before it suddenly occurred to me it wasn't the norm...then again, these Derby folk can be a bit peculiar. :)
Oh Robi, you had be going there for a while!!!

Just back from Hove after visiting our 81yr old second cousin for his birthdya, he has dementia but recognised us all (his step nephew also came who we haven't seen for 58yrs met up on FB!) He was almost with it and very clean and tidy and loved his cake and presents, we used the public transport which i have to say is excellent. Dark, cold and rainy now so was glad to get back home. Shattered!
