After the armastice was signed on Nov 11th, 1918 to bring WW1 to a close, where did German troops continue fighting?

The armistice was signed on November 11. The only German to keep fighting after this was Field Marshal Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck in East Africa, who was beginning his tiny invasion of Rhodesia. He surrendered on November 23, immediately upon hearing of the armastice.

I'm sure I read somewhere that some troops didn't cease firing at 11am but carried on for a few more minutes, whether because they didn't know of the armistice or didn't care I don't know!
Some War Memorials list the WW 1 ending date as 1919 and names of men who died that year. It may be as a result of previous injury or battles not involving Germans. I know it doesn't answer your question, but maybe somebody could shed some light on that?
I believe the 1919 on some memorials refers to when the Peace Treaty was actually signed, as opposed to the Armistice
