I don't know how much use this'll be to you but I saw a show on B.B.C.2 which said that one of the ancient Greek philosphers(Plato or someone) was the first to write about Atlantis, in the programme it summised thar Atlantis was a fictional place and a representation of paradise lost. I suppose you could say it was an earlier version of The Garden Of Eden, not that I'm saying Eden is fictious, that's another question.
