Is there a god? I mean look at all the different relgions around the world who all believe that THEY are right & the others are wrong. They can't all be right can they. Which is why in my opion it all rubbish.

no what ? i am afraid that lets face it if u read the bible and then look at many doctrines preists preach there is just some divergence i mean i've been told and quite beleive that the the father son and holy gost all being one and three is BS and not even in the bible it's just another why of putting mystery on religeon and making it more complicated so we can be told yes it's natural us humble humans can't understand this cause we're only human. BS we live in a physical world and three people canot be three in one never

Perhaps you're looking at it the wrong way. It's not three separate people in one - it's one God with 3 aspects.

And God can do that 'cos it's his cosmos and he can do what he likes.

aha u make a slight record error i think: true u r three ASPECTS in one person. i was taught religeon in italy where i live at the moment and they always say three PEOPLE in one and then go on to tell the story of a saint that was one day (before becoming a saint i presume) by a river trying to work out this riddle of three people in one and then sees a little boy trying to put as much water into his bucket as possible and asks the boy:"what r u doing child" and the boy says:"I'm trying to putt all of this river into my bucket" and the saint says:" but that is imp�ossible" and the boy:"and so it is for u to explain the holy mystery of God being father-son and holy ghost three people in one" the boy then vanishes. this we r told is because us humble worthless worms of idiot humans r mere humans and cannot understand this "mystery" and that it is something above us.

this is no more than a way to try and put people in subjection making them think they r not very inteligent and should lead the life god dictataes (incidently throught the church or at least he never came to me and told me how things stood between us).

well people r free to beleiva what they like but as long as something is possible and logical i can understand it and i don't need to fear eternal damnation to conduct myself honestly and fairly towards others in life. thats the onl thing good i see in religeon it keeps people (and sadly not all) in line and perhaps helps limit crime although there have beaing many crimes commited in the name of god which ever way u look at it the odds r the same.

ok so this is from last sundays surmon and what a surmon of crap it was:

it was the accension (sorry i know i spelt it wrong) to the heaveans. so gesus is walking along giving his deciples the last recomendations and then says his fare wells and accends into the sky on a cloud and quite correctly artists dipict in paintings just that. then two men dressed in white (one of the few occasions when the colour of peoples clothing is described) and say men of gallilea why do u stare at the sky this gesus that was among you has accendd into the sky and it is your turn to follow up his trachings.

so then dear old don peter (pietro in italian if ur currios to know) goes on to tell after obvious and unmistakable physical refferences to physical accension into the sky that this is all symbolic and that he went to heaven but not into the sky and that the paintings r symbolic representations.

so now my version infact not mine the plain words of the bible put in perspective: gesus PHYSICALLY flew into the sky to an awaiting space/aircraft wih the aid of acompact rocket pack easily conceled under the tunic and probably not of much range just enough to reach his destination hence the plain reference to going up on a cloud ! secondly the men "dressed in white" were probably (no not angels) but crew men in their suits.

need i add more ? i mean mor PHYSICAL reference than that.

I.R, ages ago in this thread, you stated that "i don't believe in destiny". But don't you believe in a God who knows all, including future events. The Bible contains many accounts of predictions being realised. MA bit off-topic, but this statement seems to negate a large and important part of the power of the Biblical God

if you read the with a open mind and with your eyes open you will realize that there has to be a God now i am a Muslim not orthadox but nation of Islam go to richmond califorina 252,250 4th street and mcdonold first call the temple number i dont know that but really try every religion and see witch one you are really comfortable more whole in you will find your answer and you dont have to die to fine out when you die you dead ashes and bones the earth then uses you for its nurishment, if you want to die to find out then do it none of the world will be able to know if you really saw God cause you wont. read this with an open mid and if not dont think of it at all
