We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Sorry you still feel under par Robinia .Hope you soon feel better.
Oooh that's a good film .There's nothing on tv really, and ..snap.. I ordered myself some DVD's too .Thelma and Louise,Midnight Run and 9 to 5.
I've got this and if you like Elizabeth you'll love it.

Off to Occy Therapy this afternoon to have a look at the gadgets and gizmos .
oh, I already have a two-inch scar on my face, Robi... Prussian duelling society, doncherknow, nothing at all to do with a mega abscess being drained. All the pimples and abscesses etc I have - I don't know where they come from but it's probably them that have destroyed my teeth; I get such a lot of infections in and out of my mouth.
hurray, my slippery elm arrived and I'm having a mugful as I type, I hope it soothes my pipes (yes, pipes, not piles, thank goodness) although the whole of my body seems to have joined in with the pain and inflammation.

You can't get to biddy age without a few battle scars jno....ooh, eeeee, it's mighty warm in them there Rockies, post some pics if you have time.

Snap shaney! I've already got that dvd, it's a lovely film. Good luck at the OT.
as i predicted, we are enjoying a lazy day..it wasn't planned, just turned out that way.
Here I am, poor Robina sorry you feel bad. I always thought that slippery Elm induced abortions?

jno you will have to say that the scar on your face is from a shark attack, that's what we do over here and it certainly impresses people.

Very humid and overcast here and now muddy rain, just as I had boil washed hija's bedding! She finally came home at 10.30 this am, I went out for coffee but it isn't relaxing anymore with all the tourists and their kids kicking over tables! (not the grown ups tourists obviously, they leave that until the night!!)

Mr N has fixed the dishwasher but cannot use it as it is outside in the rain! He's home all day but I noticed that when I returned from coffee he leapt up from the settee and started "mending things". Just paid 4€ for a bottle salad cream, omg! I tried woofy's way but it wasn't so good this time!

Signing off for now.............
Is jno now in the good old US of A? Will we have to SPEAK LOUDLY??

Well that was an interesting hour at OT. Amazing the things you can get to make life easier and the tips they give you . I am now the proud owner of a pair of easy grip scissors .....lol.
Shaney i am so glad its helped. :)
I am watching Jason Connery on Masterchef....cannot believe he's the same guy who took over from Michael Praed in Robin the Hooded Man.
Its been deeply hot again here today
Hi all. Here I is like Neti - back. Pleased you're settling back into normality after your holiday Neti. I'm off tomorrow until Sunday. Just for a change!
Shaney, what a lovely day. So relaxing. I'm pleased the weather was ok.
The photos are great. I'm not very good on boats on the sea but I'm sure I'd love that.
Robi hope you're feeling better soon. I know I'm always dashing about but I do get some old age aches and pains. Especially in the hand where I broke my wrist. It's worse now in that hand since my ops.
Jno. Have a great time in The Rockies. Don't forget your camera!
If you're looking in Lottie. Hope you're well and your holiday was good too.
Woofy, hope your lazy day was just that.
Mine was a bit busy, had to go to town. Then went to see my B-in-law in a pub down there but he had gone to his boat with his friends. All men. I expect it was a booze up. Mind you I don't blame him. He has had an op for bowel cancer and is going for another op on his liver in 2 weeks time as it has spread to there.
I I've learned today that Steady is to have an op for a stricture which is worrying. I don't think it is very urgent but I shall still worry until it is over.
Have a good weekend with all aches and pains at a minimum.
Oight oight all. See yer later 'gaters

Oh you popped in there Jude while I was typing .You must type a lot faster than me ..lol. Have a lovely weekend x
I will have a bit of a pray for Steady, Jude.
I've just been watching Masterchef too, lovely Charley Boreman, and also like Biggins but his awful laugh was next to me at the theatre the other day, it is extremely loud.
oh Neti, you namedropper you!
Question Author
I like Christopher Biggins too .He was great in Poldark as Osbourne Whitworth the sex mad vicar and as Nero in I Claudius .
He seems like a jolly man.
I must read posts more carefully ,perhaps I need some easy grip specs that don't keep slipping down me nose ..lol..
I hope your son will be alright Jude .

Phew ...it's hot .Awful stuffy night too .
wasn't it hot. It was a bottle collection day this morning so we went out and shopped dead early then sat at the sea for an hour or so.
Morning all...some threatening cloud here. My sis texted me and said it was muggy last night but I didn't think so.

Woofy would you believe I almost posted the same 2 pics of Jason recently, I loved him as Robin.

Hope Steady is ok Jude, it's not something I know about and I though I'd heard of most things. best wishes to your b-i-l too.

Did any of you watch Aspreys last night? I thought it was boring, hardly a personality between them, (same goes for the customers, lol) sitting around waiting for someone with more money than taste to buy something hideous (those handbags!). There were some beautiful things, I loved the Chaos necklace and the serpent ring....must do the eurolotto, I fancy lowering the tone of that place :)
