We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Have had the house to myself for hours and it was lovely then the two of them descended!!! The lounge carpet smells of cat pee, and I just cannot afford to throw it away, any tips as to how to get rid of the small? I've hoovered and mopped it with Zotal (a farmyard disinfectant), hate it, hate it, hate it.

Neti, have you tried a biological washing powder solution? There is some stuff called Zybax you can buy in the UK that is excellent for biological smells but its a liquid and I am not sure if you can get it in Ibiza.

Actually woofy just reading all the info on Zybax has reminded me that I have under the sink a bottle of natural cleaner from USA that a friend gave me to try last time, I'd forgotten all about it, will defo try tomorrow. As we are not getting much BBC etc in the evenings, I put out an emergency sos on local FB page for a parabolic dish and lo and behold we have to collect one tomorrow from a roof, in exchange for one bottle of vino rojo! Result, if it works!!

It might have gone through onto the underlay Neti which may be why you can't get rid of the smell .Have you got underlay ?
Try bicarb of soda and leave it overnight then vacuum it .

Morning all...not hot here, just a bit clammy, until the last hour it hadn't stopped raining since yesterday tea time. Stubby, my tatty blackbird seems a lot perkier, probably had a bowl of worms for his breakfast. He's feeding babies somewhere & looked very weary these past few days...yesterday he stopped chopping up raisins for a second and gave me a look that said 'I can't do this anymore'. I know, I know.

lol shaney, are you feeling grumpy? I was yesterday. I think the rain's coming your way so strip off, let it all hang out and go dancing in it. :)
I'm off to dump my vest tops & jeans and order some tweed suits

we had some more rain this morning. Shughy had to be convinced that it wasn't the beginning of thunder, floods and the end of the world generally so I went out with then and played in the rain in my jammies....kind of wishing that YKW was my neighbour!
