Some sort of waterproof tape ..
1128 Answers
We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Oh that's terrible news neti, so young. I remember Coggles, she was on here when I first joined 10 yrs ago, I think she had a lot of health problems.
Well I've done nowt today and now I've got a headache to add to my problems, so could you all be whispering please. The weather turned dull and heavy again.

I remember seeing her name on here .I think she used to ask a few Q's in Q&P from time to time .
Must be devastating to lose a child .
You never expect to outlive your children .When I met Mr S his brother had died only a year previously aged 26 .My Ma in law never really got over it and when we cleared all her things after she died it was heartbreaking to see all the things she had kept .
Yes ask him to give me a wave Jno .He seems such a nice man ,so enthusiastic about his subject and very entertaining .
There's a good series starting next week that may interest you .It's Dr Pamela Cox who did the life below stairs programme .This one is about shop girls.

Morning all...it was glorious at 5.30am, now it's dull.
Gathering some strength and my insides have remained calm, I woke with the headache again but it's eased (finger's crossed) . I did some reading about ibs yesterday and the supplement glutamine has been mentioned quite often. I don't suppose any of you have tried it or I think you might have said? It's something taken by athletic types too, I'll ask Tarquin about it, maybe his OH will know about it.
I saw something about the shop girls programme ages ago and thought it must have been and gone by now, I'm glad I haven't missed it.
Oh, sun's peeping through...

I found this on glutamine Robi, amongst other stuff. Much of what is out there is sales pitch disguised as blog, but this seems genuine for what its worth.

no actual solid research though.
Another decentish day here. Nothing huge planned, the only must do is taking the boys out for a drive to keep up Rab's rehab.

What he is on Robi is some glucosamine tablets called Yumove that smell divine, all seaweedy, and a mixed bag of chunks of baked venison sausage, and chopped up venison.
They had cold roast guinea fowl for tea. It was on offer at Waitrose so I thought I'd try one...it looked pretty horrible but I cooked it anyhow. I tried a bit but it tasted like the worst kind of cheap chicken so I sliced it up for the dogs....

Hello everyone. Found you at last. I forgot which emails to look at for our new abode.
First of all. I'm Sorry to hear about Smudge's daughter. I remember Smudge and really feel sorry. So sad.
Pleased about Rab Woofy getting his energy back.
I understand the tired feelings I've been a bit like that this past few weeks. I'm putting it down to the warm weather .
I'm back after a good weekend and a great day with my brother and sisters yesterday. She WLFTD brought me home last night.
Now I'm home and watching a lot of the unmentionable and looking forward to tomorrow (apart from the England match)I'm at last getting my hair cut - it's driving me potty! Trying to get it all one length to the back of my neck but it's way past there and looks 'orrible! Only 1 more day to go.
Anyway, hope you are all battling on like yer do. Have a good night and I'll see y'all later!
