We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Good morning all, have been awake for ages. For some strange reason the jacuzzi bath decided to switch itself on at 4am, horrendous noise.
Bro, nephew and his girlfriend are up and getting ready to get 8am coach to Bridport in Devon where they are staying with bros's twin in Sidmouth., so all here. We are being picked up at 9.30 to get us to Rottingdean to go to Ascot.

Smudge says thank you for your kind condolences.
1812 and Ascot, how very different fom your own humble home life, neti
All dressed up like a dog's dinner. Hating this....
Morning all, very dull and I think it's going to stay cloudy all day. Glad you made it Jude!
Have a great time neti, looks like you're in for a warm sunny day. I'd like to go to Ascot if I had the energy...and they took the crowds away.

Woofy do you remember what that doggy drug's called, it's for older dogs to give them a boost (it worked for Charlie). It's ok, as much as I'd love to I'm not thinking of taking it, haha. I've still got Charlie's 'log book' somewhere but it means ferreting around a load of boxes.
oooerr, spooky connection there neti, dogs!
Better see if there's a horse running with a canine reference in it's name.
morning all Robi, it was called Vivitonin, there is also a newer one called Activait. dogs decided to hunt the garden for much of last night so we are having a lazy start to the day. Lovely.
Neti, try and enjoy your day.
hello to everyone else, gosh i am sleepy
That's the one woofy, thanks. I was trying to tell someone about it recently.

Dull and looks as if it's going to stay that way .The sun hasn't got his titfer on round here .Hope you're all as well as.
Have a nice time Neti .You'll enjoy it once you get there .Give her Maj a wave and wiggle your tiara :)
.
its going to be a hot one here and I have to clean....
have to clean .....? Not sure what it says in the biddy manual about that.
I didn't eat much yesterday so I rinsed and left what pots I'd used in the bowl last night...I do like to leave the tops clean tho' so I grabbed a squirt and did a quick wipe round...with Windolene! haha...I've done worse, I've cleaned an entire window with dettox spray, looked like I'd done it with vaseline, it took a bloomin week to get it clear.
yes it got to the have to stage. I have got hayfever for the first time in years and the dust and dog detritus was making it worse to the stage when I am constantly sneezing and weeping. I took an extra dose of antihist and got too it, only the kitchen floor left and i steam that so no big deal.
v pleasant morning cruising along the river with Whispering Dan (and dozens of lesser mortals). He gave a talk about bridges (I remember he did a TV series a few years ago) but I didn't hear much of it because he was whispering and the microphone wasn 't working very well. For those who saw last night's prog, I did collar him and ask where that big model of Nonsuch Palace was and he said in Epsom, next to the site. Might have to go and look at that some day.

Nonsuch Park was only a bus ride from us when we lived in London .
We often went there in the summer for a walk round .
ooh, thanks for that, shaney... so Henry only went there three times and nobody else went there at all... Really, some people just have too many palaces for their own good.

If you do ever get round that way stop in Cheam and have a look at Whitehall.
It's a lovely Tudor house where you can have a cream tea and look at the various rooms .
Looks like neti enjoyed the races after all

I'm sure she got thoroughly involved
