We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

well, jno jnr has been offered a job as new business development manager which seems to be not quite either of the jobs they were interviewing for, but he sounds happy with it. Though he is still haggling over pay, which in his position I'm not sure I'd do. It will not get him into an upper tax bracket but the bonuses might, if he gets them; so at his age I'd say the offer was extremely good. (But then I still think of his age as being about two and a half.)

I am very relieved for him, being sacked was a shock to his system as well it might be. But he has bounced back very quickly and got the first job he interviewed for. I have no idea what it involves - I thought it was to be something to do with staging business exhibitions, but apparently not.
well done jno jnr, he must be blooming good to get a job so quickly. its much cooler here and we are all sleepy except rab who is on garden patrol. oight oight all

Sounds like a good night out Jude .Nice to let your hair down now and again.
Looks as if it's a nice day to go sailing .I'll say ship ahoy for now and see you all later.

Good morning biddies.

Well done jno jnr. makes one feel a lot better!

♫♫ we are sailing, we are sailing.. Have a good day Shaney.♫♫

My car has to have it's MOT (iTV Revision), been waiting 4 months for the appointment. It's not like UK, there is only one testing station government run on the island, Mr N has to take it through as I panic when we get on the wheel wobbly bits!

Morning all...cloudy here but it looks bright 'n sunny over your way shaney, have a lovely day, you look great!

Jude will teach you how to do a hornpipe if she's got a spare 30 seconds.

Well done jno jnr, hope he enjoys the new job. I don't understand what half the jobs mean these days. My cousin has a business in London, something to do with marketing, promotion, branding and communication, blah blah, whatever that lot means. I know what you mean about 'two and a half' jno, I feel the same about my two...then I remember how I felt at their ages, but they are much more confident than I ever was.

I think I overdid the wd40 yesterday, as the day wore on I went from stick woman to limp lettuce... Oh buffer it.
have a good day, shaney, and dress appropriately

neti, ITV do your MOTs? I get mine from the BBC, so I can always watch the test on iPlayer.

Oh fear Eastbourne pier is blazing, it's the arcade bit, used to be the dancehall in my youth, goodbye memories.
I've just seen that neti, looks bad.
More awful news too...my nephew, mid twenties, was set on and beaten up last night. He went home after going to hospital but had to go back this morning feeling unwell. That's all I know at the moment. Here's to ordering them all something prolonged and painful.
*should have said, there were four of the b'stds
Car failed on one tyre, new one ordered for Thurs afternoon. Mr N not amused.
Robi that is so upsetting. My nephew got beaten up on his 21st birthday by a pub landlord. Really horrible. The thug was kicked out of the pub! Karma!
Evening all. So sorry about your nephew Robi. Terrible thing to happen. Hope they get the b'tds.
Well done Jno Jnr hope it goes well for him.

I've been on a walk today up hill and down dale to Ashford in the Water. We did 6 miles altogether. Lovely day . photo later.
Have a good night all.
