Can anybody advise me on how much sand and cement I would require to lay a small patio area....slaps 2ftx2ft, 16 in number. ground very firm. Just to be used as extra seating area. I would prefer to buy in bags as opposed to dumpy bag due to access to spot.

How do you want to do it, Dave? It's usual to bed on 50mm of compacted, leveled sand. That would need 0.288 cubic metres.............. around 23-25 25kg bags of sand. If you laid them on concrete, then you'd need the same number of 25kg bags, but bags of sand & chippings concrete mix instead ........ plus 4 or 5 25kg bags of cement.

Thank you to The Builder. Would it be a dry mix?
Dave... yes, I would have the concrete semi-dry. That is, with enough water to hold it together... without slumping and squidging out at the edges.
