I have cushioned backed mahogany style chairs which I would like to paint as they are slighlty marked and need touched up to revamp them, what type of paint do I need to use!

I've painted wooden chairs in the past with ordinary gloss or satin-finish paint, no problem.
Hi, as boxtops says you can use most types of paint. The most important thing will be to make sure they are really clean before doing it. Chairs tend to get very greasy from hands going on them, so you need to make sure you get everything off or the new paint will not adhere.
