Unknown bush/shrub

We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

have watched racing snakes hurtling along beaches after baby iguanas, which looked like something out of a horror film, then watched Dan Jones smashing his nose while trying to pilot a boat through some rapids on the way to the Yukon. I think that's enough nightmare TV for one night.

I have no idea why anybody would watch either of those things ever, let alone just before bed. I prefer more calming less violent fare like Law and Order SVU. Its bright and windy here, more like september than november.

Morning, here I is....I haven't read back yet so will catch up later. I was out on Friday, busy Saturday and paid for it yesterday, mega headache and aches and pains. Went to bed at 8.30. I didn't even want to look in in case anyone gave away the ending of The Moonstone. I've seen it now, I loved it. There's another a'noon drama this week, BBC1 2.15.

Hello all
Still cold ,real feel of minus 2 earlier this morning .It was awful last night ,pelting down and the wind was roaring away.It's eased off a bit now though.
Rough weather right down the east coast by the look of it .
Hope you're all ok though.
Planet Earth was good .I felt so sorry for the penguins and those snakes were horrible...shudder. Nearly as bad as SVU :) Haven't watched that for ages .
Neti ,that's very kind of you and I would love to see it .Please let me pay the postage etc though .I do have euros .

I have this thing about things eating things....I know it happens but don’t wish to be reminded. We are doing okay thanks, quite stressed and weary especially as nice man whose garden backs onto the corner of mine is having his fence replaced today which means I have fenced off a small area of the garden for the dogs so they can’t go and help the workmen. Normally all very easy and casual but today just adding to the wind up....not nice neighbours fault but i could have done without it today.

Nature in the raw Woofy .I cringe a bit too.The not so raw bits are lovely though and it's well filmed.The albatross looking for it's mate was sweet.As the penguins were walking past him they were bobbing their heads up and down as if to say ..good morning ,has she stood you up ....lol. She turned up eventually and he was ecstatic.Beautiful birds .
Recently I looked out of the window and there was a sparrowhawk tucking into some bird or other. I crept away and left him to him to it.I didn't fancy clearing up a half eaten mess...yuk.

Hello peeps, gosh it's cold and wet. I met a friend or coffee and was so cold I just could not believe the temp had changed so sallied forth in lightish clothes, been cold ever since. Just got some winter clothes out and wash ed. Was poking about in the very high top cupboard and a wee spider rushed at me, well how I shot down that ladder and out the door without hurting myself I'll never know. Then I sprayed from the doorway.

My bro is very down atm .My SiL died a year ago on Friday .Where has the time gone. He wants us to go out for a meal on Friday with the rest of the tribe .I think it's a bit macabre but anything to keep him happy.

me too. Still got fireworks here. am cuddling dogs. my neughbour has turned out to be lovely. he has given the workmen instructions that my garden must be left secure at night for the dogs and that when they take the adjoining bit of fence down, they must work on only that bit till its done.

it wasn't just the eating, woofgang, it was the way they were hurtling across the beach after him, they looked like video game graphics they were so fast. Half a dozen of them leapt on the poor thing (he must have been about 5 minutes old) and got tangled uip into a big ball of snake but the iguana somehow squeezed his way out and left them all tangled up, then dodged another half dozen assassination attempts and got away.
