We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

Did any of you see Ben Fogle on CH 5 last night about Ibiza?
Morning...I think it's finally stopped raining but the sky's grey.

Never heard of sword rests either. Stick rests sound ideal for me, lol.

No neti, I didn't see that. I was busy looking at the inside of my eyelids.

No I didn't see it Neti.I was knitting and watched Ordinary Lies and a couple of episodes from the latest series of Bones on DVD.

I just put a beef stew in slow cooker so Mr N has a hot meal tonight. Lovely to know that's it!
Lucy as a silent servant? I'll believe that when I see it.
I've had a letter saying they're extending the poo sticks programme up to 74yo. Always good to have something to do to fill in the idle hours, I suppose. I don't know why it curretnly only goes up to 69 - does it mean if you're clear throughout your 60s you're likely to stay that way?
Seems the answer to your Q jno is no

It wasn't going to rain said the Met office....well it did, all day. Muppet office.
Rained here all day. I've been cuddled up on the sofa all day.
I wish they would extend the poo sticks here!! Everything stops at 69. Mammograms and poo sticks!!!
not till you're 85, eh? I imagine the NHS will have got pretty bored with me by then and won't be wanting to find anything further wrong.

Glenda Jackson was absolutely wonderful but the production was a modern-dress mess.
where do all these gift catalogues come from? I am just ploughing my way through them. Here is the list (and this is just the ones that have come in so far, with another month to Christmas)

Museum Selection
Owl Barn Gifts
Easylife
Acorn (seems to be just DVDs)
Culture Vulture
Good Ideas
Present Finder
Postscript

The thing is, I have never heard of any of them, except Postscript (which is an online remainder book shop and rather good). And yet somehow my address has got round to them all and in they come. I don't mind browsing, I get some occasional gift ideas, but how many square miles of forest...

Morning all
Cloudy but dry.
Haha ...chocolate teapots, they can't be much use then :)
Yes you get loads of gumpf at this time of the year Jno. Awful waste of paper although it goes into the recycling bin. It's just paper shuffling really. Recycled and turned into more gumpf.
Hope you're all ok .I'm going to venture south of the border shortly ,pick up my click and do a bit of shopping .I need a change of scenery.
Hello. Been in bed in darkened bedroom all day. Feel ropey.
I'll be back soon x
Question Author
Oh poor Neti.Hope you feel better soon .
I ventured out ,very cold over in Lowestoft though with the east wind blasting up the lokes.Got my click and bought a few other things for Christmas and also some nice fish from the market.
Nice to get out in the air and have a ride through the countryside.

poor neti, maybe we should be laying straw down on the roads so the horses' hooves don't kick up a racket, that's what they used to do for invalids in Victorian London. Plus playing some Enya albums to calm the troubled soul.
Question Author
Talking of Victorians I got a couple of books from The Works by Ruth Goodman.
How to be a Victorian and How to be a Tudor .I've only flicked through them as I've got a pile of books to wade through as it is but they look interesting.
Sort of a day in the life of the people of those times from dawn to dusk.
Time for bed said sleepyhead,G'night all.
Morning all. 3rd day in bed but am definitely on the mend. I did the washing up from Mr And dinner last night and tidied the front room and opened the windows. Just eaten a small slice of toast and a cuppa something's are looking up. Am taking it easy as this is happening too often for my liking and want to make sure I'm really over it. Body aches and yesterday I kept bumping into things.
Jno, no need for the straw on the road as I don't live near any traffic. Tis very quiet unless all the b dogs are barking.
Did any of you see Back in time for Brixton? I felt so ashamed at the way we treated the immigrants.
well, that was a wasted trip to the dentist, apparently I was supposed to be there at 12, not 2. I definitely wrote 2 down, but I obviously wasn't paying attention :-(
