We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

50 mins in a post office? I'd have a dizzy fit , they'd have to fetch me the smelling salts and a chair.

hahaha, I remember that woofy. This must be your bathroom wall then...

I wish I had seen that before, I would have done it!
There are only 3 seats and 2 younger men were sitting on them and a third stood right in front of the last seat. Just as I was moving towards it annold woman plonked herself on it. I bet she was young than me! But then she got fed up with waiting and left and I threw myself at the chair. Then some bolshi newcomer in silly tasselled boots tried to queue jump by saying that all previous numbers had left. She got a short sharp shock when we all stood up to her. Nightmare!
spent most of the day at the new show at the new design museum, recently relocated to Kensington from somewhere east of Tower Bridge. Certainly easier to get to.

Loved this robot

It wasn't quite the one on display but it would lean towards you and sort of sniff you like a puppy (fortunately it was behind glass walls) then its arm would stretch out and follow you round the room till it got bored and went off to stare at someone else. When it got tired it folded itself up and snored for a while.

It's bolted down so it can't chase you round or do the hoovering. But quite a weird experience.

Funnily enough Jno I saw a bit about that on the news this evening .I sat there thinking to myself ...I bet Jno's gone to see that .
I'm psychic, me :)
oh dear, has it been broadcasting my co-ordinates to the world?

There was also a display of updating death masks so they could be made by 3D printers, which struck me as an immense benefit to society. And a slightly more useful one on robots programmed to tell colours and materials apart so they can recycle all the fibres from defunct clothing, which up till now they couldn't do. The robots have discovered that the labels are often fibbing when they say what things are made from.
Call that a robot? It looks like some industrial machine to me!
Well at least it doesn't appear to have a face, I think robots are a bit creepy. I'm not sure I'd even like a Henry vac grinning at me.
I think it's related to the ones in the ads that put cars together. Its sensors don't actually recognise faces, but they know to peer at anything about 6 inches below your highest point, so you could probably fool it by waving your hand in the air. I had a chat with its creator, a nice young lady from Philadelphia.

Robinia, the exhibition's called Fear and Love and it's about the mixed feelings things like this produce, so they're aware people are going to find it unsettling. She's made it behave sort of like an animal, but a big animal that you know could smash your head in.

Morning robots
Brrr it's a cold one at minus 4 but looks as if it's going to be bright.
Hope you're all ok.I think a bit of household engineering is on the agenda today.Better go round with a duster and exterminate ,exterminate .
Morning all. I exterminate everyday shaney. There's nothing else to do here! Its a small villa and no messy Hija. Am still in bed at the moment. I'd like a robot to bring me a cuppa!!
The guardia civil are flying round and round my area in a noisy old helicopter, seems to be over my house mostly. How can a girl have a nice cuppa in bed?? I've now shut all the doors in case there is an escaped Magwich on the lose!!
Morning each....oooh, it dropped cold in the night here too, the glass of water by the bed is my gauge. If it's got a layer of ice on it we're all doomed. Real feel of -1 °C at the moment (outside, not in my boudoir).

That's a good name for the exhibition jno, it's not just me then. I sometimes think I'm the 'only one' with strange fears until I talk about them.
Funnily enough I was never frightened by Daleks shaney. Actually I could get used to a subservient robot who would do as I asked....just as long as it wasn't a chicken. Remember him? haha

Neti, after all the talk of hoarding it'll be the shopaholic busters.
neti, they're probably on clothes peg watch. Are all yours matching properly?
haha
Yes all pegs present, correct and one colour, apparently there is an exhibition down the road of police vehicles and ambulances etc but why would want to show the old noisy helicopter is being me! There is another one doing the rounds now and sounds better¡
My Chinese cheap shop is closing down so where will I get my matching big white pegs from?
I've been in a Dalek at the momi museum, felt daft sitting there, wasn't impressed but then I don't do Dr Who.
Lovely sunny day here, no jacket needed, just shirt sleeves yes and jeans etc!
Morning...is everyone busy giving the subservient chicken the runaround? I need him today, it's been sunny but such a bitter wind since yesterday. I've got a card to post but I don't want to go outside, I'm really not coping with the cold anymore. Mexico said I could have meds for this raynaud's but I don't really want any more pills.... sigh

wakey wakey....
