Growing Anemonies

I have three Anemonie Coronaria plants which are producing lovely flowers. When the petals drop off am I supposed to remove the black seed head in order for the corms to benefit or do I leave them on please.
I also purchased 15 corms Anemone De Caen "Mr Fokker" only one of which has produced to date a few inches of greenery. All the rest have produced nothing at all after about 3 months. Can anyone advise me please.

I gave up trying to grow anemones, they don't seem to like my soil and apart from that something likes digging the corms up.

Removing the spent flower heads ?, well I think that will do more good than harm!

Thanks Chipchopper. I purchased good quality compost and soaked them all before planting. I planted them in a deep trough which I left on the bench in my unheated greenhouse. The one that actually produced some greenery was looking hopeful and because the greenhouse was getting too hot in the sun I removed the plant and placed it on the soil still inside the greenhouse but with some shade. Next morning all the greenery had been eaten!!QWhat eats the greenery? Mice?
