My lovely clematis has been ruined by the rain. The huge flowers are droopy and very sad looking. I have looked at the RHS site but it doesn't tell me what to do after the flowers have died off.
Shall I just cut them off and hope for another set of flowers later in the season?
They are droopy and the colour has faded, Minty. All the petals are still there. They look like half-closed umbrellas. I'll leave them a while and see if sunshine does perk them up. (When we get some more sunshine)
Tills I saw the 19:07 post and had a schoolboy snigger, then Melv made me laugh. Apologies all. :))
Plants have been coping with rainstorms for ever, it will get better in due course Tills.
