Identifying a plant

I have something growing in my lawn which seems ot be multiplying and appearing all over the place. Its almost like agrass but has a rubbery texture.

I took some of it it to my local garden centre but they didn't know what it was. Are there any places you can post samples to for them to identfy what it is and advise you on how to deal with it? I don't mind paying - I just want it out!!

Is it possible for you to take a picture of it and post it on here, there are some very knowledgeable people on here that might be able to help.

Just a wild guess ( if a photo is not possible) It sounds like it could be 'Woodrush' (Luzula campestris) It is sringy to walk on which may account for the rubbery texture that you discribe.
It can be common in lawns, especially damp ones that have also become acidic.
