Does anyone have one of THESE or something similar? I need something light to tidy up plants & the smaller shrubs - I get a man in for the big stuff! :o) I wondered if it will only cut very soft new growth or if it would also be handy to cut down perennials that might be a bit woody?

Mock yea not!! I am usually very handy and innovative around the house, it was just the last few days and I'm sure none of it is my fault!!

Getting hot already and I'm sick of it. Now starting with the prickly heat.

"Oh to be in England ..etc"

Last day of freedom as Mr N arrives back tonight, but I've been very quiet this time (well apart from destroying the house).

Ha ha, there's rain on the lens of the Woolacombe web camera and people scrambling out of the ocean and into their cars. Wouldn't have to throw a blanket over my camera if I had one, the sun's in and out but it's a nice day and there's a hen party happening in my park, they have one hostage man who's wearing that kind of swimming suit that that comedian was wearing who made a movie... does anyone know what I'm talking about, Robinia, get over here and read my mind and translate it into English please! Thank you for the tool box, I laughed - that is indeed what I have been using many a time over the years!

I sympathize with you Neti... this Lamp of Damocles situation isn't my fault either but I'm scared the landlord will try to make it my fault and charge me.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help yesterday with the green sheep of the Kiruna doorbell Shaney... yes it might also be one of the many varieties of Sami (which is related to Finnish.) The north of Sweden is like another country, to me as well as to many other Swedes. The Sami peoples even have their own parliaments in Finland, Sweden and Norway - and somewhere in Russia. Not all who live up north are Sami, of course, they are a minority, but a strong-voiced one. According to wiki both Joni Mitchell and Rene Zellweger have some Sami ancestry - that was news to me but they do have the "typical" Sami features - huh, very interesting. Have I told you we're moving kiruna

<Uh-oh... looks like it's gonna rain... you know it was a while since I started writing this...>

Oh jno if only that much building was left!!

Mr N's home!!
hello all, i tried to follow all the preceeding madness but failed entirely. It hasn't rained here, the garden is like a dustbowl....am having a lovely spaced out day, covered in mozzy bites that are only soothed by antihistamine tablets and trying paracetamol for the aches and pains which is working a treat. The combination is making me feel like I haven't felt since the sixties man.....and its LEGAL...not conducive to trypwriting tho
Crikey woofie take it easy gal ..you'll be singing Flowers in the Rain and I Am the Walrus Goo Goo Goo Joob any minute now ..dry as a dustbowl here too and very warm ....but gales of sodding wind ..I had to come in when my Telegraph blew of the table and ended up in a heap in a bush .
Apart from that I am covered in a rash up my arm from the sap from the ruddy ivy . So I have smeared myself with 'Allo Vera !
moo man
(:O)
On a more serious note woofie re these aches and pains of yours ...apart from doing a Judy in the Sky with Diamonds act have you been to see a rheumatologist about them .Or had a bone scan/density test just to rule out any underlying thingies apart from the old sweat and fret palaver ?
yup that's me and the old fella!
Shaney, thanks for the concern, yes I have checked and its just the hormones...don't you just HATE those conversations at the doc that begin "well of course at your age and carrying weight as you do....."
I got a recall fron the mamogram this year (stop your ears Vinny) It was okay they just hadn't squashed me far enough so a fold of flesh looked like a shadow....shadow blooming hell when they showed me the x ray it looked like a supernova...okay V you can listen again now.
But yes I know what you mean about showering afterwards.
Gouing to bed now, the purple elephant says its time....

Ha ha robi no Mr N is just about taking off from Gatwick as I type, and poor George hasn't been heard of since!

Our hospital has a new mamogram machine and it's much lighter than the old one, but my stomach kept getting caught up in it and my chin, what a palaver, and I was squashed so hard that I did swear, now of course, one's longer and thinner than the other!!
Know what your problem is Neti and Woofy: you should have been better prepared / ROFL@Woofy... have you come down yet?! At your age... Ha ha, yes people and doctors will say that won't they, and there's always that painful first time when they don't mean "you being so young" - ouch. And what about when you jokingly refer to yourself as an older person and the younger person you're talking to doesn't... erm... get the joke.

Oh look there's one George up a tree and one on the road...! Robinia I swear you should turn that into a children's book, turn to the company that makes Georges, do it now! First thing Monday! I mean it.

There's been a helicopter circling over my house - I think. Very loud noise but I couldn't see it so it must have been right above me and probably the police, who else circles. <Am I in trouble for that lamp...??>

big screen please

Kit it's probably Mr N's flight going the wrong way, with my luck.

Couldn't read anymore after exercise one, it made my eyes water.
By Jove, you're right, Neti - i see him now! Shall I shoot him down for you when he approaches my park?
If he's put on that much weight, then don't bother, leave him up there!!!
Aww...!!
