A few people on here were reporting problems with their robinia frisias earlier this year & I wondered how you went on, did they recover? Is it now happening to others too?
I'm absolutely gutted to see my tree has developed some brown spots & curling mainly on it's lower branches & more on the side that gets the east wind. Seems that, according to
this information I've found (in particular see 11th post) it's a problem made caused/worse by this awful weather we've had last yr & this (up to now).

eating is no prob Shaney. You get a bit bruised from the surgery but apart from that its fine. I am one of those people who cannot tolerate things in their mouth so dentures would be out of the q for me. I don'y have great gum health so i know my teeth are going to go to heaven before I do (DH as well) Yes its a dear hobby but there you go.

good evenin'...well I think the bank holiday misery is me..the weather's been quaite naice here too but try as I might to shake myself I still feel as though someone's sucked all the life out of me. And my cosmic orders just aren't arriving, they keep sending me the wrong goods.

haha, I'm with you on the implants shaney. Apart from the cost I couldn't cope with all that faffing about with the prep work especially without a cast iron guarantee that it was all going to be wonderful in the end. I did look into them 20 years ago or so when they were still quite new here & they were £1000 per tooth then....so I suppose they're getting cheaper :o/ . Maybe when I'm 90 they'll be a tenner & bogof...I can be a wizzened old hag but have fabulous gnashers.

Is it really May 1st? How time flies & I forgot the white rabbits earlier...or 'specially for neti 'a pinch & a punch'

> > > > > >
Well I hope they look fab when it's all done Woofie :)
But I couldn't stand it .Bad enough when years ago the dentist did a lot of work on my teeth ,cut and stitched my gums etc .Then a crown that went wrong and I lost the two teeth next to it .
.Put me right off. Then the cheeky monkey was doing things like only cleaning the bottom ones and then a couple of weeks later half the top ones, then the other half and charging mega money .
When I questioned these tactics he told me he had several children to feed .I told him in no uncertain terms to tie a knot in it ,refused to pay his bill ( for the second clean ) and never went back there .Told him to sue me for it . Never heard a dickey .
Found myself another dentist who had to sort out all his co.k ups .And funnily enough I wasn't the only patient of his who absconded elsewhere !
I've never trusted a dentist since I was 12 yrs old when the new one that my doctor recommended drilled through 2 teeth, agony. We've been convinced for years that they do it for the money and half of it is unnessessary. When I wins millions on the lottery, I want a total body makeover, boob job (something to make them look pert!) and all new teeth but I must be unconcious for a couple of weeks cos that'll make me slim too!!!!
Very nice Vinny .You look all young and innocent .What happened ?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.................Scarpers before I get tomahawked := ))
This is the only dentist I have ever been to that I have trusted enough to do this stuff. I had some dreadful NHS ones when i was a kid, including one who forced my mouth open and tore the corners. I've been with him for 21 years now, DH too. He used to be NHS and private, would do what he could on NHS then you topped up with private if you wanted to, then he dropped the NHS.

crikey, I want some of whatever Vinny's on, he suddenly looks about 60 years younger

heeeee....I'm right behind you shaney

We've just had a ruddy powercut here .
I had to rustle up a torch and me Prices Candles . Mr. S and I were barging into one another in the dark :)
I know they're saying there are austere times ahead but they could have waited until the votes are counted .

A powercut?! oooh, I'd blame neti for that shaney, anything to do with 'lectrics & it'll be that Spanish woman. I'd better get up the wooden hill then before it creeps this way or I'll have to be doing my sudoscribbling with me caving helmet on.
ooh, look, the Bank Holiday Weekend Misery has arrived [no, not you, Robinia], I'd better get me snorkel before venturing out into the garden.

It's misery here too..(me & the weather)...bloomin' freezin it is - real feel 2C. Padded parka & heating on climate. I think I'll be staying zipped up in my teepee with a bar of choc & Avatar - there's no need to paint myself blue, I already am.
good morning all, had a white night last night, so I am sat here in the peace and quiet with a cup of coffee. DH (bless) is still asleep. I am afraid my hor flush bedclothes flings don't give him the best of nights either. anyway, going out for paper, catch youse later if I stay awake.
Morning all
Miserable here too.Raining and chilly .I laid in and I'm still in me shift .Isn't it dreary.
Have a nice day though all in spite of the weather .
The only solution is chocolate ,though there's a bit of jam sponge on the side winking at me :)
Afternoon all - Mothers Day here - and a big fiesta, town is swarming with amusements and people. Poor Mr N feels rough, his cold is still bad. I did weekly shopping but nothing fresh delivered, furry tomatoes yuk! Just had a coffee with male gay friend in a peaceful location. Have to collect child from airport at 20.30hrs cos Mr N isn't up to it and as long as she isn't delayed and it gets dark, I'll be OK!

Very warm here, am swetineti alright!!!
any more rain here and they'll be able to tie the QE2 up to my oak tree. Two pairs of socks on now - if it gets any colder the slippers go in the microwave. And the trains aren't running so I can't escape to Paris or Penge or anything.
morning.
lovely and sunny and feels really warm ere..(:O)
Stop gloating Big Chief Wooly Bear :)
It's really cold here and I made the big mistake of taking the winter quilts off the bed .Had to get extra blankets out last night .We've now put the heating on and I've just had to slosh whisky into my coffee :=)
Happy Dia de las Madres Neti :)
Afternoon possums and thanks for all your good wishes. Ole back still giving me great trouble - I've got fingernail marks in the palms of my hands when I wake up cos I'm so tense - feels like getting shot when I turn over in bed. Neti don't go handwashing heavy mats and towels, be good to your back! Robi how's yours today?

Yep Robi the Calamity Cowgirl was indeed yours truly. It's so droll, if you look close you can see the white sleeve of somebody sitting in the easy chair next to mine, and if you compare that with the photo of me as an indian back at our photo orgy a while back, it's obvious it's my sister P. on both photos and that I must have been parading different outfits with her as an audience, ha ha ha! I seem to have had huge career issues on that particular day cos here I am again as an... aviator? http://i41.tinypic.com/acg09c.jpg (My dad did his military service in the air force, I think it's his leather helmet on the piccy.)

Woofy I've seen your organza flowers, they are lovely! Reminds me I've got 24 metres of faux organza lying about... I sh1t you not, I do! from my Arabian Nights period of interior decoration. And Shaney I've seen your tatted literature as well:) (and I've been laughing like an idiot at your dentist story.)

Gotta get up and walk about now. This is bloody amazing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0RCDHBw50Q
Gracias shaney equalmente!!! x
