is this suitable for my plants

Last night I had a bonfire in my garden and am wondering if the remainiing ash = a fair sized amount.
once cleared be suitable for what kind of plants.

Can any plants benefit from having this ash on them.

Yes - they all will as bonfire ash contains a lot of useful elements including trace elements. Fruit trees will benefit most from a good application of ash.
I agree with the previous answer. You can use it anywhere , just fork it in lightly with the soil otherwise a strong wind can soon scatter it!
I use woodash from my woodburner all over the garden, the roses thrive on it as do all the bushes.
