i dont know how to put a photo on here.
It's probably wasps but if it's bees consider getting them removed alive. Someone who knows about bee keeping will know more, but it can be done
Question Author
can someone put a photo of a wasp and bee and i'll tell you which one it is.
If they are carpenter or mason bees they are no risk to you and are useful pollinators in the garden.

Before you kill them off you might want to google some pictures to confirm what it is you have.
While in B&Q maybe you could ask/buy swarm trap if you have honey bees. Youtube shows more. Please try & save honey bees. OR contact a local apiary (bee keepers).

these are honey bees - harmless, just wanting a new home.

Kate, contact Kelvin Valley Beekepers Assocoiation. You can phone 0141 956 3963 or contact them through the web site, named as above xx
Question Author
alba 'i phoned that number ,its bumble bees i have,he wont be able to get them out from under the window ledge so i have to phone the council,or,wait til the queen bee is out and block the hole, you are not supposed to kill honey or bumble bees he said.
Leave a paint smell (old paint tin) near the bees; the paint vapours will send them elsewhere.
I wonder how long the queen hangs around for? It's not going to bleasant. I hope the council appear quickly to sort it Kate x
