I bought a Siemens Wirefree Portable and Plug-In Chime Kit Three Pack from B&Q
The door chimes all worked perfectly. Two days later a relative called and had to use the door knocker He said the door bell wasn't working . I unplugged one of the Plug-In chimes and when I plugged it back in it beeped twice. On trying the doorbell it worked perfectly. A week later a similar thing happened I re-read the instructions and useful hints and I am sure it is fitted correctly The two plug-in chimes are only 20 metres away from the doorbell and the portable one didn't even work just behind the door Any ideas ?.

Are they wireless? It might be that they are on the same frequency/channel as your wireless router or something else wireless in your house/neighbours.
I am assuming that the bell push has a battery in it? In cold weather batteries can play up and stop working. The fault appears intermittent because they will work sometimes but not others.
I bought a similar one, cost nearly £30,worked on and off for a couple of weeks, eventually bought one at Argos from their Value Range(Wireless as well) for £6,had it nearly 6 months now and no bother whatsoever.
