Well, the objects themselves are not a mystery but who left them there is.

On several occasions we have found baseball caps and gloves on our lawn but this morning we found a brand new pair of working gloves buried in our potato planter. Hubby thinks it is a fox but we didn't think they buried items. Anybody got any ideas, Thanks

Could it be gnomes? or naughty pixies?
Foxes definitely bury their food, so I'd blame the fox.

Foxes sound favourite to me
Yep fox's are a good call!
Fox's hear abouts bury golf ball from the nearby course, thinking they're hens eggs, don't know what they make of it when they come back to dig em up ?

I'd rule out moonlight baseball games though ;-)
If they become a nuisance , tell them to .....fox off
They'll go, should it rain 'ard.
Could be doggers.
Radio 4 Gardeners' Question Time should have some interesting suggestions for getting rid of the randy blighters.
Do you have a cat, and if so, is it free to roam at night ?
Fox-gloves ?
Some one wanted to get their hands on peat ?
I clicked on this thinking it was a quiz........................I suppose it is really.
I'm thinking cat, too, possibly a Siamese or similar. They are notorious kleptomaniacs. A relative's Siamese once arrived home with a pot-holder that she recognised as belonging to a neighbour. She returned it to an astonished neighbour who had last seen it hanging high up on the washing line!
