My back lawn appears to be a mass of ants nests. What can I do to eradicate them?

My mother used to pour boiling water on them, cruel, but it worked. The only time I take action against these facinating creatures is if they get in the house, A garden center will have what you need to do the job.

No seriously, I would not follow the boiling water advice- you'll ruin the grass!!

Ant powders work and are dirt cheap. You'll never get rid of the blighters easily- there's just too many of them in the World
