The MS461 with a 25" bar is a good saw....but it will cost a grand new.

I don't think my daughter will cough up a grand on a saw, BS. She got a Ryobi two years ago and it's rubbish. I think she will pay up to £350-00 for a decent one.
When you are after a Stihl with a 25" bar .. £350 just wont do it. I'm afraid you will need to lower your sights or raise your budget. Here's a bargain for you .. http://tinyurl.com/nd2lz89

melv......you need to look for some smaller trees :-).A saw with a 25"bar is not for the feint hearted.
Stihl and Husqvarna are the two top notch brands used by professionals, plenty of other makes out there for occasional use but are usually less powerful.

I find a Stihl with a 16" bar suitable for most jobs. Its a serious piece of kit!
