It says it measures 200cm x 200cm. The double duvet (UK) that I have ordered is sized at 200cm x 200 cm as well. Do you reckon it'll fit? Will the cover measurements be the inside, as in actual space, or will it include any seams?

I agree. It'll fit a 200cm x 200cm duvet.

That's a relief. The covers are lovely and just what the girlie wants.

Thanks
Soft items. Just push it in.
There are few things more irritating than a cover that is larger than the "duvet" - you need not have worried.
The REAL Scandinavians have separate duvets - far more sensible.

Separate from what?
^ Large bed (2 persons) but with two separate (single) duvets...a very sensible idea.
Two singles?
Our next bed will be a German style huge bed with two mattresses and two duvets, that way we could each have the type of mattress we like. I might even let him back in the room, as long as he stops snoring.
Zebo, me too.

She’s having the duvet to herself anyway. Well, she’d better be ;0)
Correct: Two people sleeping in their normal bed using/sharing a single "duvet" is virtually unknown anywhere but in the UK, where it appears to be rather common and odd given how cold houses here are. Sharing the "duvet" is the less independently adjustable and colder way.
I dunno, my OH is like a human Aga.
we have different thermostats too, so duvets don't work for us. Even regular coverings are awkward: either the hot one pushes the coverings down or the cold one puts a pashmina over the top or wears an extra T-shirt..
jno, the "foreign" point entirely: Separate covers/"duvets" are the answer to the very British problem you describe - each "wears" his/hers to suit personal feel for temperature at any given time.
quite so, Karl. However, I tend to change temperature during the night too, so a single covering doesn't do it for me; it's easier to throw off covers, or put them back on, one at a time as needed. A pity, because duvets are very convenient - just not for me to sleep under.
We were very suited to sharing the same micro climate and now I'm alone under a king size I wake up in knots.
I have a large standing fan on no matter what the weather - even in middle of winter, it’s just the humming that I like as well as the breeze. But I only keep it on my side of the bed. I would think that two single duvets would look odd??
Oh Lynne you keep turning over and over then?
