so setting about getting quotes from people who know people, when a tall distinguished fella with a clip board was at the end of my path, I went to ask him if he was ? No he said, I am Mark
me, Mark who? he ignored this and shouted for the two men with some ladders, then gave me a quick written quote of £950, they left and I phoned the mobile number on the paper he had gave me, I asked who they were and was told they were a company down on the coast????? I said I had not contacted them to which they put the phone down

Well I nearly didn't make any reply. I thought when you left AB some years back you were going to educate yourself, and become more respectable. Just found out it was a ‘leaflet drop’ and I just happened to be waiting of someone coming with a quote, they must have thought Wow, that was easy, haha

But you said he gave you a written quote. People who drop off leaflets tend not to do quotes.

Yes he gave me a written quote, after checking on the said garage, and that quote was written on the back of the leaflets he and two more were dropping!

I wouldn't have even bothered ringing them if they think a quote on the back of a leaflet is acceptable.
