Any ideas where I can buy a strong single cardboard box?

I want to send something via DPD to Denmark.

Post Office ? Stationers ?
I keep a few decent boxes from items received in case I need to send something.
Post Office seems most likely place. or Rymans stationers.
Post Office or just use and empty box you have lying around. I often keep and make use of Amazon boxes and have brown packing tape.

Amazon sell boxes if you want to buy one to suit your requirements.
Nearly all of the mailing boxes sold by Ryman come in packs of 5 or 10. They seem to have only one size available as a single item:

Self-storage depots often sell cardboard boxes. e.g. Big Yellow:

(There's a list of their stores here: https://www.bigyellow.co.uk/find-a-store but, if you're not close to one, try one of their rival companies instead)

Thanks Chris, top answer as usual. I'll have a look...

Mind you, now a different problem: many of the DPD-type operations don't seem to ship to Denmark any longer. Brexit? Ah well, we didn't vote for it.

You could try Interparcel, not a recommendation as I have never used them.

Use a parcel brokerage:

For a random sample size and weight combination I tried, ParcelMonkey is offering just ParcelForce and DPD at reasonable prices:

Parcel2Go is offering good prices though from ParcelForce, DPD, Hermes and Landmark Global, with other carriers available if you're prepared to pay more:

Have a look in the supermarkets to see if they have any boxes you could use. I sent a 10kg parcel using two empty vegetable trays taped together and then wrapped up.

The trays were much thicker and sturdier than a cardboard box.
I have just used DHL for parcel to Portugal no problems but I think you have to have correct forms, invoice if new etc
