How Bad Was My Attempt In Approaching...

Our upstairs one needs changing, and I want to do it whilst MrSmow is away lol. (To see how long it takes him to notice when he gets back lol). I've had a quick look underneath as it seems to be a simple case of loosening this one and putting new one on(which I haven't bought yet btw). Ur for the life of me I cannot see how this one would even come off - it looks as though with all the will in the world these 'screws' etc would not undo!!

On the other hand you could pass responsibility for not cracking the bowl by getting a tradesperson in. I have found getting the new one to stay put can be an issue too. One doesn't want to overtighten, but I swear the seat doesn't always fit the holes in the porcelain, even if there's some kind of adaptor; and a seat that moves after a while is most disconcerting.
