blocked drains!
5 Answers
our external sewerage drain in the garden appears to have filled with water, as a result our toilet fills with (clean) water when flushed and takes ages to go down. In addition, the general household wastewater (sink, washing machine etc..) drain overflows as well. We haven't put anything untoward down the toilet to cause this, and have no idea how to resolve this (we fear plumbers/Dyno-rod will rip us off).. help!

The blockage is now clear thanks to Mr Plumber but there's just no shifting that naughty old drain rod! Will definitely look into B&Q rods next time it happens though!
