clothing stain

I have stained some linen, dry clean only, pale colour trousers with bolognaise sauce. The waitress said put salt on it at the time, and I did. It absorbed some of the colour but it has still left a nasty stain.
I am suspecting my dry cleaners will not guarantee a result and wonder if anyone has had experience of dealing with this particular problem?
