my mother received a bush as a gift from my aunt and the tag for the care was missing. She called it a blood bush but we can't find anything by that name. Could you please help us?
Can't help unless it was a Broom bush. Mostly they have yellow flowers but some of them have a blood-red pinky flower. Was the foliage rather feathery?
Some years ago Kew Gardens at Richmond, Surrey had a facility where, if you sent a cutting of a plant to them, they would identify it. They did this for me very efficiently when somebody gave me a cutting of a shrub whose name they didn't know. Don't know whether they still do this but they've probably got a website and you may be able to contact them and find out via their "contact us" facility if they have one.
I too, would like a little more to go on,could you please post any usful details ie flower shape (if any) leaf shape / size, colour etc.
I hope Robinia is right with blood flower (as she often is) or maybe the name is something similar, I think there may be many cultivars that have the word blood in the name if perhaps they have leaves or flowers of that colour ?
Any more info will be greatfully accepted, Thanks T bird+
