Locking a domestic heating oil tank

Has anyone found a satisfactory way of preventing unwanted access to such an oil tank - the standard type with a 2 inch BSP screw thread. Double skinned tanks typically have a lock on the outer skin, single don't. Looking for something similar to a lockable car fuel cap.
