Stupid Tree

There's a big tree in a back garden (council) and it stands over the houses. I want to get rid of the tree because it blocks satellite(s) for the TV.

I don't think anyone lives there.

What's the best way to kill this thing without crushing my or anyone elses house in the process?

ask the council to get a tree surgeon to remove it.
