Hi. I am thinking of buying a carpet cleaner. Can anyone recommend a good one?

theres a vanish carpet foam that does a brilliant job, i use mine all the time *clumsy*
if you mean a machine i borrowed a vax one from the in laws and it worked really well...but not amazing tbh...

or you can hire beasty ones from homebase for about �30 (take a utility bill with you) and my friends use them a couple of times a year and swear by them

recently bought a Vax Rapide Carpet Washer, half price in Curry's sale. It's easy to operate, not very heavy and dredged out filthy gunge from a carpet that's only been laid for about 3 years! Very pleased with it, but special cleaning fluid is quite expensive. Carpet wasn't soaked with cleaning fluid and didn't take long to dry. NB have 2 dogs with filthy feet when they come in.
