Hi,

It has been a lovely day here and my friend and I went to the café at Pensthorpe Reserve and had a long lunch sitting out in the sunshine. I didn't have a scone as in gone in the end - I had a Panini with melted brie and cranberries and a nice salad - yum. Came home and have potted a few plants. I had forgotten what a summer's day is really like.

Hope your tum feels better soon Shaney x

Off to feed the animals and Mr LL in that order!!
Oh brie and cranberries yummy, not sure if my teeth could manage a panini unless they are softish.

Have fed Mr N and washed up, bathed and am sitting in my clean bed waiting for Eastenders.

Hija arose from her bed, donned her gladrags and got the 3pm bus to Ibiza for another night of partying, oh to be young.
lovely day, we went out to see the wide world (of Essex) ... just as well we did it today, Prince Philip is orff to hospital for an exploratory op tomorrow and OH will be keeping an eye on him...
oh no, poor Phillip. I will do some god bothering for him.
We have had a busy day today. We have taken deliveries, handed out freecycling, one nice lady does dove releases for special occasions, another one brought her puppy so I got little fuzzball cuddles. We pottered in the garden and moved stuff around and chatted to a neighbour's dad over the fence who is going to cut down some of their garden and trim back some of my shrubs.
Then I fixed the computer and got my network back.
Poor waitrose man (boy) arrived looking worried. He had picked up a bag with two bottles of bottlegreen cordial in it (the thick sticky dilutable kind), the bottom fell out of the bag and the two bottles smashed into the crate containing half of my shopping, luckily the non essential half! He offered to redeliver tonight but I said no not to worry, anyway I got a five pound credit and sat and made another order for saturday. Poor boy, the crate is a mesh one and the back of the van got covered so he has to clean it out at the end of his run.
Dogs have lived in the garden again today and are happily knackered. Just for today, life is good.
I think the op is just a followup to some tests he had, HRH is in no danger. It seems he was strolling around at a Buck House garden party today and looking in as fine a fettle as a 91-year-old is ever likely to.
Still worrying at his age jno...
Anyway its time for bed here....oight oight all
Good morning, what a palaver in this house, cat, Mr N and then hja stumbling home, I didn't get a wink of sleep since 3am, and then hija had to get up at 7 for a blood (? alkihol more like) test for her work!
Good morning - another lovely day!! Have a good one Biddies and dogs and cats and daughters and OH's and friends and neighbours..............

I have just soaked myself with the garden hose. I hosed the back garden in my dressing gown and failed to notice that the bottom of it is drenched. I had to wring it out!! (Long dressing gown and I've still got it on)

See you later.............. xx
............. and sons !
Wonderful good morning everyone. It's lovely here. didn't have time to get on yesterday. Spent a long time sitting at the auctioneers to get a valuation.
Well let's say I'm not a millionaire and what I took will probably go up at Christmas but nobody wants it this time of year. So it's back in the box in the cupboard. Still it was an interesting time looking at what people had brought. Someone had brought a painting of Hitler when he was young and the specialist said it would probably sell as the sales were on line as well as in the room. So they left it to go to auction.
Had my hair done yesterday morning and I'm really pleased a lovely cut and style. It's quite short this time too but I don't mind in the Summer.

Today I'm going to 'amble' in the garden. A bit more digging and transplanting some things but nothing to vigorous.

Hope you all have a lovely day and the warmth of the day helps your aches and pains. See yer later 'gater(s)
Yahoo ladies, me too jude, hair is very short but long on the top going to one side, still got the silver sides, so will off to hairdressers to get it all silvered with lowlights. Found the perfe4ct dress today for the wedding, it's similar to my pink one in but pale turquoise (wish it were slightly drker) but only 46€ so well pleased. It's just knee length which is good other wise my legs look short! Now looking for a fascinator (not many here) or two clippy flower things in turquoise and beige. So pleased.

Lottie you are like the spanish señoras, they do all the housework etc in their dressing gowns and in the olden days they used to go shopping in them.

Just tried a glitter shower gel on my arm, but couldn't obviously wash it off, and it's great, it dried and all my arm wrinkles disappeared, will get some for the face and bod!
Hope the rest of you are Ok and not feeling under the weather which by the way is rather nice here atm!
good morning...we are recovering from a 2.5 hour thunderstorm which was right overhead and left the dogs gibbering wrecks. It finished about an hour ago and they are now sleeping. I was going to mow the lawn but its now too wet, the upside is that I don't have to get the hose out. I am ravenous and gagging for a cuppa, will give it another 20 minutes or so and go sort myself some brunch.

Morning...sorry, afternoon ...all. Lovely sunny, breezy day again.
Felt a bit ropey first thing so I decided I'd be a bit domestic, I thought feeling virtuous would make me feel better. Smooth radio have been playing some great music this morning so that kept me going. Now I've got terrific pressure in my ears, are there storms about?

Oh poor delivery lad woofy, it makes an awful stick mess...someone broke a bottle of squash in their shopping bag in Iceland once ....I think it was me :)

Musical interlude for you...I love this I'd not heard it for ages until today

Question Author
ooh, spooky woofy, that answered my question!
I also love that song by the Hollies, although not Hollie sounding at all.
Have now got a large coffee and a chicken salad. Would have been a sarnie but the bread was part of what got bathed in cordial yesterday. Robi, the storms were not forecast but they are now lol.
Question Author
lol woofy, who needs the met office, my head is usually spot on when it comes to storm pressure.
Chicken! agghhh, I almost forgot I've got some in the fridge that needs cooking (or freezing)
Normally Shughy reacts to the drop in barometric pressure but it must have whipped in fast this morning, the first thing we knew was when the storm broke overhead. We live very near to the Solent estuary and the port of Southampton and the storm just goes round and round over the water. The boys are settled and snoozing but get restless if I move so I am tied to the tv and the computer. Its delightful having bold fearless dogs!!
Ha ha I just love your doggies woofy, they are such characters!

I had a lovely compliment today, when I was in the shop buying the dress, I said that it hid my spare tyre well, and she said wait til you have the menopause, you will get bigger, I thought I had misinterpreted her, but no so I said I am 70 next year, which is true and she couldn't believe it, could tell by her reaction, made me feel great and she's only 58 and looks way older than me. ( I'm 70 next year ducks! ) I can hear Little old me saying it!
