Not Having Collage Friends On Fb??? Seemed Wired

Ok, I am in collage. My social circle is really small, recently some bad people spread rumerous about me. They all talked about bad and think... Bla bla!! That's all start with joke. Ok I started avoided them, because I don't like talking to them anymore. It just pissed me off when I saw their faces.
Next year I am taking gap year then planing to go university. So my problem is that because for uni we all need fb for socialising , so I am going to make facebook in gap year but I don't want my any collage friend in my future.
Is that seemed wired for my new friends when they look that I don't have any collage friend??? Thankx

It is possible to get by without Facebook and I wouldn't worry about what other people might think about your list of 'friends'.

Not sure exactly what your question is but I would say forget facebook. Why be pressurised into doing something you dont want to do. If these people only judge people by facebook it will put more pressure on you to come up to their expectations via a website. Forget it. Make friends with those you want to. Do not try to impress or become friends with "bad people". It is all so different from my day. We had no internet. You had friends and you had enemies but this is only a short period of your life and it all changes once you go to work.

why would you think anyone would care about who you have as friends on FB enough to trawl through them checking whether they went to uni or not?

set your page private so friends cannot view other friends pages.
