Posting To Usa And Need It Returned

I need to post something to the USA and want to include a self address stamped envelope so it can be sent back with no cost to the recipient.

What kind of stamps do I buy??

Logic would say American ones! Ask at your post office, maybe there's an international method or stick a couple of dollar bills in the envelope.

You used to be able to buy International Reply Coupons, which could be exchanged for postage stamps in the country of receipt. They are still in use throughout much of the world but, regrettably, our own Post Office stopped selling them four years ago.

So the only way that you can send the postage, per se, is if you can actually get hold of some American stamps directly (e.g. if you know someone from the USA who has some in their wallet). Otherwise you'll need to send a small amount of cash. (Most people will know someone who has been to the USA and who has some US currency left over).

I agree with the others, it would have to be US stamps or similar alternatives. Ask at your PO.
