If I drill a tiny hole in the corner of a credit or debit card...the bit that doesn't go right into the machine would it cause any problem that you can think of?...

I'd like to chain them to my purse which is chained to my bag to save repeat journeys to shops where I've left them.

And yes I could become more aware and careful I know, but I doubt that is going to happen....☺

i worry about you gness lol xx
Should be ok, gness, if you drill the tiny hole in one of the corners that sticks out of the card machine.

I have a tiny drill bit and was going to heat it up a little, Psyb.....I suppose I could heat up a skewer.....x

However let someone else do the drilling !.
aren't you worried your credit will leak out?

I'd ask the bank first, if I were you......

Bernie....the last man who worried about me married me in an attempt to change things........you free on Saturday?.....♥

I'll give it a go with an old one I rarely use then, Tony...I can't see a problem. Won't go to Dunelm Mill in Kettering though....I broke their machine yesterday......☺

Oh Lord....forgot about cash machines....will just try the credit card then... I'd hate to bu99er up the only cash machine in town.... :-(
Sigh
chaining yourself to your card, purse, bag, nearest telegraph pole may draw unwanted attention
What happened at Dunelm Mill, gness. I know the type of things that they sell, Mrs av has dragged me round our local one more than once.
Why don't you just put all your cards in a little wallet, which you can chain to your bag, and just keep the wallet in your hand until the transaction is complete?

Surely the card can be drilled - some of my loyalty cards are on key-fobs so are drilled - but I think you'd need the bank's permission. Drilling a hole in it might affect the card reader in some way?

I have no credit, Jno.......you know that by now....☺

Assume the bank will just say no, Boxtops...Can't see they want everyone drilling debit cards.....☺
We thought about you yesterday, gness, when the builders downstairs were weilding a wonderful electric Kango hammer.....
Question Author
Sigh yourself......xxx

The machine was weak.....my hands are strong.....the machine flew away...☺

I have a little wallet, Boxy.....tried that and I am just not organised enough...my fault I know....but I can cope with one purse....chained to me with a bag over my shoulder.....but I may try again if all else fails.

I sound like Marley's Ghost when I get to a checkout.....☻
Have you thought about hiring a card guard?
Oh gawd, please don't let her loose with a Kango !.

I once had to use a Kango to remove awful Spanish tiles from a large kitchen....I loved it....great bit of kit!
